Indication
Recalm® is a used for the treatment of mental stress, mild anxiety and nervousness accompanied by temporary nervous cardiac complaints. It’s a combination of passionflower, valerian, hops, and hawthorn. Their extracts complement each other and have a calming effect on the heart and nerves.
The effects of the plant extracts:
- Passionflower is traditionally used to relieve mild symptoms of mental stress and to aid sleep and can also be helpful against anxiety and tenseness.
- Hops are traditionally used to relieve mild symptoms of mental stress and to aid sleep.
- Valerian has significant efficacy against nervous tension and an additional effect in stressful situations on anxiety, blood pressure and the heart rate.
- Hawthorn is traditionally used to relieve symptoms of temporary nervous cardiac complaints after serious conditions have been excluded by a medical doctor.
Extract composition
Recalm® is a herbal medicine with dry extracts of passionflower herb, hop cones, valerian root, hawthorn herb and hawthorn fruit.
1 film-coated tablet contains as active ingredient:
- 29.4 mg dry extract of hop cones (Lupuli flos)
- 67.5 mg dry extract of valerian root (Valerianae radix)
- 81 mg dry extract of hawthorn leaves and flowers (Crataegi folium cum flore)
- 81 mg dry extract from a mixture of passionflower herb (Passiflorae herba) and hawthorn fruit (Crataegi fructus)
Dosage
For nervous cardiac complaints:
Adults: 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day
For difficulty falling asleep:
Adults: 1-2 film-coated tablets one hour before going to bed
