Cimidona – Ze 450

What is the menopause?

Menopause is a natural phenomenon and marks the beginning of a new era in the life of a woman. The production of the sexual hormones oestrogen and progesterone in the ovaries gradually decreases. Not every woman experiences the menopausal transition and the postmenopause as an uncomfortable time period. With the hormonal system undergoing major changes, two thirds suffers from a wide range of symptoms. Menopausal complaints include neurovegetative symptoms (hot flushes, excessive perspiration, night sweats and sleep disorders), psychological symptoms (nervousness, mood swings, depressed mood, physical and mental fatigue) and disturbances of the menstrual cycle.

Cimidona – Non-hormonal treatment for menopausal symptoms

Relief of menopausal complaints such as hot flushes, profuse sweating, sleep disorders, nervousness and depressive moods.

Special extract Ze 450
Zeller has set up a special in-house cultivation program for black cohosh with plantations in Northern and Western Europe. The cultivation propagation is performed by using seeds, root cuttings or in-vitro propagation. The cultivation, harvesting, drying, storage and delivery of the herbal substance is performed in accordance with the guideline on good agricultural and collection practice for materials of herbal origin (GACP). Every batch has to comply with the specification and is tested e.g. on heavy metals residues, pesticides (through cross contamination), mycotoxins and microbiological contamination. The rhizome is then extracted in a multistep process with 60 % (V/V) ethanol resulting in a drug-extract ratio (DER) of 4.5 – 8.5:1. It contains a minimum of 6 % (m/m) triterpene glycosides.
