Since the first conference in 1990, PHYTOPHARM has been one of the important events of the year, aiming to present interesting, state-of-the-art research relevant to professionals working in various fields of medicinal plants and natural product research, and to foster networking and collaboration.

June 30, 2017

This year professionals from 36 countries will come to Graz from July 2nd to July 4th. The event is organized by the ST. PETERSBURG INSTITUTE OF PHARMACY in Collaboration with the UNIVERSITY OF GRAZ. The scientific program of this year covers natural product research from phyto-chemical studies to phyto-therapeutic applications. The aim of the Congress is to serve as a forum for discussions on trends as well as the latest research results and to exchange ideas relating to phyto-chemical analysis, ethnopharmacology, pharmacology of natural products and biotechnology. In total, 80 posters, 15 plenary and 32 lectures will be presented during the three days of the Congress.

Zeller is represented by Dr. Catherine Zahner and Dr. Esther Kruttschnitt with two lectures on 4th July 2017:

11.20h-11.40h – Dr. Catherine Zahner:
“Metabolic effects of the Cimicifuga racemosa extract Ze 450 in vitro and in ob/ob mice”

14.20h-14.40h – Dr. Esther Kruttschnitt:
“Effects of a fixed herbal drug combination (Ze 185) to an experimental acute stress setting in healthy men – an explorative randomized placebo-controlled double blind study”
