65th Annual Meeting of the Society for Medicinal Plant and Natural Product Research (GA)

Zeller supported the conference as Gold sponsor and was invited to contribute the pharma industry’s perspective presented by Dr. Christiane Halbsguth and Dr. Catherine Zahner in the regulatory affairs workshop on the regulation of complementary and herbal medicines in Switzerland. The successful event, which was chaired by Prof. Dr. Knöss, BfArM (Federal Institute of Drugs and Medical Devices), Germany, stimulated the dialogue between academia, industry and authorities as an important part to promote progress in the field of herbal medicinal drugs and their therapeutic use.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Drewe from Zeller held a plenary lecture about translational research as an integral part of rational herbal drug development. In further 4 oral presentations and 5 posters with latest results from analytics, mechanisms of action of Zeller extracts and controlled cultivation of medicinal plants were presented by Zeller representatives. We were happy to meet valuable partners in the field and look forward to future scientific conferences.
