Zeller & Vitaplant Excursion – Congress Phytopharm 2018
In connection with the Congress “Phytopharm 2018” (see previous post), Zeller is organizing an excursion to its headquarters in Romanshorn and its subsidiary company Vitaplant AG in Uttwil on 27th June, 2018.

Under the motto “Zeller World – From Seed to Patient”, participants of Phytopharm 2018 are invited to join an exciting day of exploration in the arena of phytopharmaceuticals.
The excursion will be focused on the complex journey of medicinal plants from cultivation in the field to finished pharmaceutical products.
The programme will include:
- A seminar on “The Development of a New Herbal Entity” which covers all aspects of the development of the special butterbur extract “Ze 339”, which has an indication for allergic rhinitis; from controlled plant cultivation through phytochemical analysis and pre- and clinical studies to drug approval.
- A tour of Vitaplant AG, Zeller’s subsidiary specialized in the research and development and the large scale, commercial production of medicinal plants. The tour will provide insights into the selection of elite plants and the controlled cultivation of medicinal plants as well as a showcase of Zeller-Vitaplant’s medicinal plant garden in Uttwil.
